The Paint Pallette of Nature

We have such beautiful fall colors here in Indiana!! The colors range from orange to yellow to bright red!!! I am tempted to get out my oil paints and try my hand at copying these colors on canvas! The corn fields and the woods protect and feed our deer. God's hand in nature is so evident!! But, along with these beautiful colors, comes raking them up too!! Always great fun! Yeah right!!!

Here are some more Christmas cookie recipes:

Almond Crescent Shortbread
Makes approx. 7 dozen
1 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 to 2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
ground almonds (approx.1/4 cup)
Extra sugar (about 1/3 cup)

Put all ingredients into a bowl. Mix together with a mixer. Take by the teaspoon and shape into crescent shapes and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 275 degrees for 15-20 minutes. They should not be brown. Roll in the extra sugar while still warm.
