Looks like the kids had a great time!!!
Decided to start the Christmas cookie recipes now. Here is the first one. Easy, delicious and again, seems like its a tough one to do, but NOT!!!
PECAN TASSIES
DOUGH:
2 c. flour
1 c. butter
6 oz. cream cheese
Mix together and roll into balls the size of walnuts. Press into Tassie pans with fingers. The tassie pans are the mini cup cake pans.
FILLING:
2 eggs
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
Mix filling together and spoon into dough lined cups. Place 1 teaspoon pecans on top of each tassie. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
Here is another good recipe:

BAKLAVA
1 box phyllo pastry - 1 lb. defrosted1 1/2 c. (3/4 lb.) unsalted butter, melted1 1/2 c. finely cut walnuts1/3 c. sugar1/2 tsp. cinnamon
SYRUP:
3 c. water3 c. sugar1 tsp. lemon juice2 tbsp. honey
Peel off 10 sheets phyllo and place in buttered 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan brushing with butter after each second sheet. Spread with a mixture of walnuts, sugar, cinnamon (1/3 of mixture).
5 phyllo sheets, buttered
1/3 nut mixture
6 phyllo sheets, buttered
1/3 nut mixture
Top with phyllo sheets.
Cut into diamond shapes. Heat remaining butter - pour it on. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, 300 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from oven, pour on hot syrup.
Syrup: Simmer all ingredients except honey. Add honey last. Cool. Serve.
