Chocolate Chess Pie
Makes 6 to 8 servings

2 cups sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch

4 eggs

1 can, 8 ounces chocolate flavored syrup

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 unbaked pie shell

Combine sugar, cornstarch, eggs, chocolate flavored syrup, milk and butter in a bowl. Beat until smooth, using an electric mixer at medium speed. Pour into pie shell. Bake in 350 degree oven for 55 minutes or until center sets. Cool on rack.


Coconut Pie
1 stick butter or oleo

1 can coconut

1 1/2 cups sugar

4 eggs

1/3 cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon flour

1 teaspoon vanilla

In unbaked pie shell pour 1 stick of melted butter or oleo. Sprinkle 1 can of coconut throughout pie shell. Mix all ingredients together and pour into pie shell. Bake 45 minutes at 325 F degrees.
