Here are some of our "fur babies". Top is daughter Chris with Buddy Lee, Son-n-law, Jay with Devin and Tony, Middle left pic is Tony, middle right, son-n-law Ty with Tank.
Bottom left, Ty with son Dan's raccoon, and bottom right Jennifer with her riding buddy, Devin.
Now this one is BoBo. He is daughter Catherine's fur baby!! He loves to get into everything!!
Where would we be with out our fur babies??!?
And guess what??? They use Barney's Bubbles Animal Soap!! The mint scent keeps the fleas away, and the soap leaves the animal smelling oh so good and the fur sooooooooo soft!!
We've been into granola lately. I've been making around 12 cup batches and passing it around. You can add just about anything you like. Ingredients like raisins, dates, figs, etc. should be added after baking. I put mini chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in mine after it cools. It's so good with our maple syrup!!!!
BASIC GRANOLA RECIPE
Ingredients
4 cups rolled oats,
1 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup sunflower seed
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Optional: 1/2 cup coconut, 1/2 cup flax seeds
1 cup honey ( I use pure maple syrup)
1/2 cup oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (I use maple extract)
4 T. Water
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the first 4 ingredients.
In a 2-quart saucepan, heat the honey, oil and vanilla until syrupy.
Add to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Spread on a jellyroll pan.
Bake for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
Store in a covered container.
Mix and Match Granola

Mix and Match Granola
4 cups rolled oats, wheat, or barley (any combination)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds or sesame seeds ( I use both)
1/4 cup flax seed and/or wheat germ
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup honey, maple syrup, or a thick syrup made with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 2-3 tablespoons water 1/4 cup canola oil
4 T. water
1/4 cup flax seed and/or wheat germ
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup honey, maple syrup, or a thick syrup made with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 2-3 tablespoons water 1/4 cup canola oil
4 T. water
1 teaspoon vanilla and/or other extract
1/2 teaspoon salt (I leave out the salt)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
1. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together except for the dried fruit. Set the dried fruit aside.2. In another bowl mix the sweetener, oil, and extract together.3. Add the liquid to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. The liquids will be absorbed and the granola will become darker and shinier. 4. Spread the granola in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for ten minutes. Use a spatula and turn the granola on the baking sheet. Place the granola back in the oven and bake for another ten minutes or until fairly dry and starting to brown. Remove the granola from the oven and stir in the fruit.
Tips
1. Granola will become crispier and crunchier as it cools. 2. Because of the oil, granola will not stay fresh long. Store in an airtight container and use within two weeks. Freeze for longer storage.
