Fishing: A Family Outing

Zach, Matt, Mekayla, Nadalynn, Kalista, and Bear (Thomas)!! Mekayla with her first fish, Dad and son, Zach fishing in a fishing contest, and the whole group of them fishing in the contest to win a prize!! Just about everyone loves to fish, even the babies!! The local conservation club holds a fishing contest every year, and the kids just love it. They fish on a channel on Simonton Lake. Just about everyone wins a nice prize and goes home with nice memories of the day. They feed the kids hot dogs and they all drink their fill of pop!!

Here is a nice snack/lunch for the kids:

GOOD CORN DOG BATTER
1 egg, beaten

1/4 c. milk

1/4 c. cornmeal

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 c. flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1 tbsp. sugar
Mix together all ingredients. Dip wieners in the batter and fry in hot oil until brown.

THE KIDS WILL LOVE THEM!!
