Matthew, 14, daughter Jennifer's son, loves to bake!! Above he is baking Snickerdoodle Cookies. If you like cinnamon, you will love these cookies!! Matthew started high school this year. Our babies are getting so big!! Still has those cheeks you want to pinch though!!!!
SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter or shortening
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 eggs
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
Heat oven to 350 to 375 degrees. Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, shortening and eggs. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Shape into balls. Mix 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Roll balls in mixture to coat. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
